July 2014: Remainder of points being motorised. All sorts of problems wiring up the double slip.  Key is to wire frogs to opposite point motor.

Operation

NB if power fails due to a short circuit reset by setting points in the following configuration.

Pt 1 up, Pt 5 up, Pt 3 up, Pt 4 down.

Operation of Double Slip

Momentous events:

18th November 2014 New loco Charlie purchased.  A 0-6-0 diesel shunter

23rd Jan 2015 the full circuit of the room was achieved.  A scale distance of 705m, a lap of this circuit taking approx 40 seconds is equivalent to a scale speed of 40mph.
